Lee is the worst heroine ever and IMO, don't qualify to be a heroine. Lee was so whiny, selfish, dishonest and manipulative. Lee lies and says whatever she thinks would pleases the guys just to sleep or comfort them. It was so overdone that I didn't care for Lee's POV because it was clear she was not being truthful and sincere. To me the secondary, supposedly "villain" girls such as Viv and Candi were more likable than Lee. I'm surprised Lee didn't sleep with Hudson. I mean she did pretty much banged all the guys in the book. Lee and Hudson would have been perfect together because of their whor*$h ways and stupidity.
Max seems like an OK guy but I was never an awe with him. I also hated Max's negative thoughts such as wishing death on someone. Like really? Max and Lee's relationship started out as too forced and needy. Also, Max's jealousy was not even likeable.
Mitch seems like the perfect hero! I give Mitch a lot of prop for being relatable. I loved it when he knew enough was enough. Oh and the author gave Mitch, hands down the best lines. I got emotional plenty of times reading some of the things Mitch said or thought of. Mitch had the best POV in this book.

Things I liked:
-Mitch! He was perfect and deserved more/better.
-I liked the dialogues between Mitch/Colt, Mitch/Max, Max/Colt.
-The kids especially Stella was adorable.
-I liked that Mitch went back to his house. It may have been uncomfortable but that is HIS house w/ Lee.
-I loved that the baby at the end was Mitch's. Rather Lee picked Mitch or not, and Mitch survives or not, I thought it was brilliant to make the baby's Mitch.
-I can honestly say I would have given this book zero stars but because of Mitch, this book earned a couple of stars.

What I hated!
-Lee! Lee! I think she is the first heroine I hated and I repeat Lee does not deserve to be a heroine.
-Lee and Mitch never found out Hudson made sure Mitch saw Max with Lee as teens.
-The whole time Mitch came back, his lawyers pretty much didn't do anything. He still didn't have anything. Messy writing IMO.
-The whole my wife/ I'm her husband that Max repeatedly says was inaccurate. Correct me if I'm wrong but once someone like say Mitch comes back from the "dead", he would be considered as the legal husband, meaning Lee's marriage to Max would be void.
-Not going to lie, I was disappointed Stella didn't get a reunion with Mitch after he and Colt returned from China.
-We never found out who Lee picked (she was never going to make up her mind anyways-it was all about pleasing whoever she thought needed her reassurance at the moment)
-The death of Mitch! I hated that he came back just to be killed off again. I think it would have been better if the selfish and manipulative Lee was the one to died. At the end, Max was just Mitch's replacement for the needy Lee.

Would I recommend this book? Absolutely not! I'm glad I got this book when it was free on Amazon otherwise, I would asked for a refund. Not worth the money or time!

The Solitude of Passion Addison Moore Books Reviews

Crap...I am so torn. I love it and I hate it. It was a good book but made me all twisted. I guess maybe because it wasn't what I wanted to happen although I see the reasonings behind it all but still it breaks my freaking heart. Talk about a love triangle it was so Messed up. It just kept ripping my heart out time and time again and I wanted so bad to slap lee more than once. I wanted to shake her and tell her to open her eyes bit maybe hers were open more than mine because all I could see was Mitch even now he's all I see. I didn't fall in love with max no matter their story it was always Mitch for me.

Be prepared for a roller coaster ride, you will be up down and turned inside out. Lest laying bare with all of your emotions.
Could. Not. Put. It. Down. What a story! I found myself hooked right from the start. I will not go into the details of this book as others have already done that, but I will say this kept me on the edge of my seat right to the very end. And what an ending it is! Not predictable at all. I couldn't imagine how the heroine would ever be able to make the impossible, heart-wrenching choice she was faced with or how this could ever turn out well for all the characters. In so many romances today, you pretty much have a good idea how things will turn out. Not so here. You are kept guessing right to the end.

Some reviewers thought this was too long. I, on the contrary, liked that nothing was rushed here, and I applaud the author for writing this in one full-length novel rather than drawing it out as a trilogy, which seems to be the norm today. I prefer one story; one book. Thank you Addison Moore!

If you like a good romance with some meat to the story and one that is a little different, then I think this is a good choice and I would highly recommend it. I loved it!
Lee was married to Mitch; however, he passes away on one of his business trips (or so everyone thinks). She later gets married to Max, Mitch's enemy. Mitch comes back and finds out that she's moved on and is devastated but happy to meet his daughter. I wouldn't say that this was a second chance romance because Lee has already moved on. She is not in love with Mitch any longer. He's just a fond memory and a friend now.

In all honesty, i don't think this was even a romance. It was more like chick lit. Also, the book does have elements of religion. It doesn't feel preachy but a higher being is referred to several times. The writing was good but the story itself troubled me. The ending befit the story but was most definitely a cop-out, too.
Spoilers. I've read many books with bad guys that I've disliked. The character in this book, Lee, is the only one I've ever hated. She is a cheater, adulterer, two-timing, whiney snake. It was all i could do to stomach finishing it as I never quit a book before. For her to think that its ok to move on after 8 weeks and teach her daughter to call another guy daddy within months of a disappearance is horrible. All the "I love you both" is garbage. Kissing Mitch on way home like she wasn't "married" to someone else was 100% wrong. She should have been one to die in the end.
